About the Project

In 1996, Elouise Cobell, a petite Blackfeet Warrior, filed the largest class action lawsuit ever filed against the U.S Government for the mismanagement of billions of dollars held in the Indian Trust Fund. For 15 long years and three Presidential administrations she fought for justice in Congress and the courts for 300,000 Native Americans. This is the story of how she prevailed and made history.
