Andrea Granera

Andrea Granera (she/they) is a first generation, Nicaraguan-American actor, filmmaker, multi-medium artist, writer, and lifelong student of revolutionary history. She grew up between Oakland, CA, and Nicaragua. She graduated from Tisch School of the Arts in 2017 with a BFA in Theater Arts. Her screenplays have been finalists in screenwriting competitions, and her photography has been featured in i-D Magazine and showcased in Berlin, Los Angeles, and New York. Andrea is thrilled to be here at the IDA expanding her understanding of the everchanging documentary medium with the amazing artists and projects that come through.
