Earlier today, March 24, No Other Land co-director Hamdan Ballal was violently attacked and detained in the West Bank. This news was first reported in social media posts published by Ballal’s No Other Land collaborators Basel Adra and Yuval Abraham. The Guardian later reported that witnesses say Hamdan Ballal was attacked by armed settlers in the West Bank and handed to the IDF.
We demand Ballal’s immediate release and that his family and community be informed about his condition, location, and the justification for his detention.
