IDA's Doc Maker Membership pricing is designed to connect documentary filmmakers from every corner of the world by providing access to invaluable resources, networks, and opportunities to elevate your career, no matter where you live. Built with inclusivity at its core, this membership offers a flexible pricing structure to ensure financial accessibility for filmmakers worldwide.

In alignment with the United Nations’ recommended pricing models and informed by the World Bank’s Gross National Income indicators, we’ve created a sliding scale that helps reduce financial barriers and promote equitable participation.

Simply find the country of your residence in the location groups below and pay the fee associated with your location.

Important: Your membership access level is determined by your current country of residence, not your country of origin. Please review the Location Group chart below to identify your country and the corresponding pricing before purchasing.

Our commitment is to ensure that documentary filmmaking remains accessible, equitable, and supportive for everyone, everywhere. This sliding-scale pricing is one way we’re working toward that goal.

Location Group Structure:

  • Location Group 1: Residents pay the full membership fee of USD $110.
  • Location Group 2: Residents pay USD $66 for the Doc Maker Membership.

Country Location Groups

IDA uses the country of residence, not the country of origin, as the criterion for location group selection. Find the country in which you currently reside to determine what location group you qualify for.
