Cinereach is a NY based film foundation, full service production company and film financier. Founded in 2006, the organization operates with a mission to support films, artists and organizations in telling bold stories that align with a unique artistic vision and challenge the status quo. To date Cinereach has developed, produced, co-produced and/or financed over 15 films including Shirkers, We The Animals, Matangi/Maya/M.I.A., Independent Spirit Award winner Sorry to Bother You, Academy Award nominee Beasts of the Southern Wild and upcoming releases After Yang, The Assistant and Never, Rarely, Sometimes, Always; given over 30 artistic fellowships to bold independent filmmakers including Barry Jenkins, Young Jean Lee and Sabaah Folayan and independent producers including Julie Goldman, Jessica Devaney and Karin Chien; given organizational and programming grants to over 15 groups including Borscht Corp. of Miami, Detroit Narrative Agency (DNA) and Stockade Works and given grants to over 200 fiction and non-fiction films including The Florida Project , Black Mother, The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Academy Award-nominated films Hale County This Morning This Evening, I Am Not Your Negro and Citizenfour (Best Documentary, 2015).
