IDA Documentary Screening Series ’26 is a curated collection of the most acclaimed documentary films, presented by IDA in the lead-up to Awards Season. This series curates the best documentary films and engaging conversations exclusively for IDA members, Academy and Guild Members, and industry leaders. 

Each event offers the opportunity to discover the season’s standout films, hear directly from the filmmakers through live Q&As and panel discussions, and join the conversations shaping this year’s awards race. 

Hosted across Los Angeles, New York City, and internationally through virtual screenings, IDA Documentary Screening Series ’26 is the essential destination for the films defining documentary storytelling this year. We are looking forward to seeing your movies this fall!

In-person screenings will be held at select venues in Los Angeles, New York, or both! Tickets are free for selected IDA members, AMPAS, and other guild members. For Virtual-Only Screenings, pre-recorded Q&As will follow after the credits of the film presentation.

IDA members and AMPAS members will have priority and complimentary access to all screenings. Other guild members (WGA, DGA, PGA, FIND, HCA, and Television Academy) are also invited to join the screenings with complimentary admittance.
