About the Project

At the beginning of the 90's, in San Francisco, Sylvie sets up Ti Couz, an utopian creperie, made of self-management, ecological concerns, social rights for the employees. After successful years, Sylvie and the Ti Couz ideals must face a violent gentrification and an opposite vision of society coming from Silicon Valley. From video archives filmed by Sylvie for over thirty years, Like heroes tells the development, the resistance and the downfall of this unique political experience, and portrays the intimate story of a free and independent woman.
