About the Project

Trelin and Alex are seniors at Free LA high school, a juvenile courthouse turned high school for students pushed out of Los Angeles’ public education system. They are both facing serious charges that could result in years of prison time, but their teachers, Lupita and Jahzara, are fighting for them to graduate instead. This film follows kids who were locked up having the keys to transform spaces that continue to imprison them.
