About the Project

For decades, Boston has been the world’s leading hub for medical research, built venture capitalists, pharmaceutical companies and generations of scientists drawn from across the globe.
But political attacks on science—targeting universities, foreign students, and public research funding under the Trump administration—have profoundly shaken this ecosystem.
Shot over four years, the film follows leading scientists in the United States and Europe as they confront these policy shifts, fear for their future, and warn of the long-term consequences for global medical research.
