About the Project

UNBOUND: Crowned in Pleasure is a feature documentary following educators, performers, and partners Jet Setting Jasmine and King Noire as they build a family and cultural legacy within adult entertainment and sexuality education while navigating parenthood, public discourse, and artistic authorship within a stigmatized field. Through the lineage-informed lens of director Laila Ocean—herself the adult daughter of a porn entertainer—the film examines the stigma, power, and generational impact shaping families like her own. The journey ultimately leads to Benin, West Africa, where questions of ancestry, sexuality, and cultural memory widen the story into a meditation on diaspora, legacy, and self-determination.
