Election Day 2016. In the morning of the presidential election and throughout the course of the day, a cross section of Americans from all backgrounds and perspectives, live through history. 11/8/16 is a portrait of American democracy in all its chaotic glory.

Jeff Deutchman is a producer and acquisitions executive who is currently VP of Content at NEON and has served in top executive roles at Alchemy, Paramount Pictures, and IFC Films. He has championed such films as Yorgos Lanthimos’s The Lobster, Richard Linklater’s Boyhood, Abdellatif Kechiche’s Blue is the Warmest Color and Werner Herzog’s Cave of Forgotten Dreams, and has discovered some of the most promising indie filmmakers working today including Barry Jenkins, Lena Dunham, Andrew Haigh, David Robert Mitchell, Josh & Benny Safdie, and Mike Birbiglia. He conceived and produced the Election Day series, including 11/4/08, which world premiered at the SXSW Film Festival in 2010, and 11/8/16, which will be distributed by The Orchard in 2017.
