About the Project

Synthesizing the economic and policy failures underpinning unprecedented homelessness in Los Angeles, THE ADVOCATES evokes the lost ideal of “ care in the community ” through roller coaster stories of case managers in the trenches undertaking highly skilled work. The film demonstrates the real transformation that can occur, when the right resources, funding, skills and compassion are applied to the crisis.
