About the Project

This film is about a broken US political system ruled by money and greed. It’s about how Democracy can be perverted in the interests of the wealthy and powerful. Our film examines the current milieu through the lens of the Genocide in Gaza and asks the questions: How can a clearly indiscriminate slaughter and humanitarian catastrophe be framed by our leaders as a “war”? How can our leaders have the gall to pretend that what we are seeing unfold before our eyes isn’t real? How does a “Genocide” get repackaged as a just war and why is it supported, protected, and upheld by the vast majority of American politicians on both sides of the political aisle?

To answer those questions we have to wind the clock back to the early part of the 20th century, when Zionist planners plotted the takeover of Palestine and violently drove hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their homes. From this history we launch ourselves into the present day as free speech is under assault and all of our major institutions have worked to silence any dissent and criticism of Israel. A Century of Erasure is a multimedia project that juggles animation, archival records, interviews and on-the-ground footage to tell an important and urgent story of the political and moral decay at the heart of American life.
