The left side of the image has a pale pink/beige background with text reading: "A documentary about serving your country, and what happens when you come home." The right side of the image is a collage of four different faces: A middle-aged man with graying hair, a younger woman with light skin, light brown hair, and glasses, a Native American man with dark hair, and an older man with a cap and glasses.

About the Project

"Crossing the Threshold" follows several Veterans from diverse backgrounds and conflicts, in rural Wyoming as they reflect on their military service, return to civilian life, and the complex trauma they still carry with them. Part pensive retrospective, and part examination of the long tradition and culture of war in the American West, "Crossing the Threshold" explores themes of community connection, identity, homecoming and how people change as a result of service. Set against the backdrop of Wyoming’s epic and ever-changing landscape we come to know our Veterans: who they are, who they were, and how they have come to understand their own journeys back to themselves.
