Gondola

GONDOLA focuses on the story of the hotly contested Dodgers gondola, a high powered private/public proposal to whisk passengers, in aerial cars, from Union Station, 1.2 miles to the stadium — and right over the heads of working class communities and the patrons of a hard-won public park. The film offers a kaleidoscopic portrait of issues: the privatization of public spaces, neighborhood resistance, art as protest, and the role of journalists, while keeping it’s lens firmly at the ground level.
