About the Project

Angelina Resendiz was a 21-year-old U.S. Navy sailor. She was raped and murdered by a fellow U.S. Navy sailor — a man with a documented history of sexual violence the Navy knew about and ignored. He Said She Said Now Someone Is Dead follows the fight for justice as her family, advocates, and filmmakers refuse to let her story disappear. With a court martial underway at Naval Station Norfolk, this film is a reckoning with a military system that has failed its own.
