About the Project

Denied identity but not imagination, Bajo and his teen friends embark on a journey that reveals the magic of storytelling through the creation of comic books. A journey that will take them from the jungle borderlands to the glittering city of Bangkok.

The child comic book creators in our story are Stateless children living in the Western Thai borderlands. A Stateless Child is a child who is not recognized as a citizen of any country. For those children, this impacts their access to healthcare, education, freedom of movement, as well as legal protection from exploitation, trafficking and detention. Statelessness directly violates the Rights of a Child and their Rights to an Identity.

Our film offers an intimate view into the lives of children living without any formal identity. This film is intended to give voice to these children and we humbly ask for your generous support. The film is not the end point but the beginning of a larger endeavour to continue the artistic education of this community so that they can find sustainable and meaningful ways to live and to draw attention the this human rights issue beyond their own world.
