A man in a striped sweater and cap stands in a dimly lit room bathed in a cold blue tint, captured in the early morning light of winter.

About the Project

#MenToo is a documentary that examines the hidden crisis of male sexual trauma—an urgent public health issue affecting at least one in six men. It breaks the silence around male survivors of sexual abuse, offering raw, intimate interviews alongside expert insights. The film explores how cultural norms around masculinity perpetuate stigma, taboo, and long-unhealed trauma. As survivors speak candidly about their experiences, a broader cultural reckoning unfolds—one that calls for empathy, accountability, and a redefinition of what it means to be a man. #MenToo is both a documentary and a call to action: it advocates for trauma-informed policies, comprehensive education around consent and boundaries, and the development of long-term support systems that acknowledge healing is not linear—and often takes time.
