About the Project

In July of 2014, the documentary Particle Fever was released to the world to great critical acclaim. Filmmaker / Physicist collaborators Mark Levinson and David Kaplan worked from 2007 to 2013 to effectively capture the lives of just a few of the 10,000 scientists working on the CERN experiment, the home of Geneva’s Large Hadron Collider.

Producers Megan Kingery and Annie Roney are overseeing the creative development of this ground-breaking documentary into a stage musical. Particle Fever: The Musical will be a thrillingly entertaining stage spectacular celebrating the exhilaration of discovery and the joy of curiosity through the eyes of a heartwarming group of scientists at their most intimate and vulnerable.

A musical adaptation of Particle Fever will provide opportunities for gorgeous stagecraft and lighting against the awe-striking backdrop of the Large Hadron Collider.
