About the Project
TEACHED is a series of short documentary films that candidly examine issues of race, education and equality.
TEACHED Vol. I, the first compilation of short films, reminds viewers of the promise made over half a century ago in Brown v. Board of Education that all U.S. students would receive an equal education, while TEACHED Vol. II films go more deeply into the particular experiences of Black boys and men in America today.
TEACHED short films have been screened in over 100 festivals and special events, including SXSWEdu, The Atlantic's Race & Justice Summit, the United Nations Association Film Festival and the Annual Fulbright Conference. Awards include Best Short Documentary from Napa Valley Film Festival, Humboldt Film Festival, Williamsburg Film Fest and Uptown Short Film Fest.
