What's Worth Saving

  • Derek Dodge, Director/Producer

A man in a cap and sunglasses stands near a bin labeled “Planter Pots,” pointing into the distance. Behind him, a forklift carries crushed recyclables as two workers load boxes near a shipping container. The scene is set against a backdrop of trees, hills and a clear blue sky.

About the Project

As a beloved recycling center faces closure, the people of Park City confront a deeper question: what do we save, what do we sacrifice and who gets to decide? "What’s Worth Saving" is a documentary film by producer and director Derek Dodge that explores the legacy and uncertain future of Recycle Utah - Park City’s grassroots community recycling center.
