About the Screening
Join us for a post-screening reception with director/producer Babak Payami, film subject Hamed Esmaeilion, and moderator Robert Abele in attendance at the Chaplin Theater at Raleigh Studios (5300 Melrose Avenue, Hollywood, CA 90038)
After losing his wife and daughter in the 2020 downing of Ukraine Airlines Flight 752 by the Iranian military, Canadian dentist Hamed Esmaeilion embarks on a quest for truth and justice that finds him caught in a web of geopolitical intrigue and politics. With human rights protests raging in Iran, the film is a timely glimpse inside a regime that ignores the fundamental human right to life.
