First Person View Drone Pilot Flying a 3D Printed Drone Towards a Large Cone Tornado

About the Project

An independent, bootstrapped crew—aerospace engineer, champion FPV drone pilot, rising meteorologist, and veteran storm chaser—attempts the most dangerous mission in weather science: a zero-meter intercept. Flying a 220 mph custom 3D-printed drone straight into a tornado, they aim to capture never-before-seen data that could revolutionize forecasts, strengthen building codes, and save countless lives.
