About the Project
Organization:
iACT is a Los Angeles-based international nonprofit with a mission to resource and partner with people affected by war and conflict, to amplify their voices and create opportunities for them to thrive.
Supported Project:
iACT’s community-led storytelling project will be called 'AMPLIFi.' With the help of the International Documentary Association, we are building out a curriculum that will enable those living in hard-to-reach communities to tell their stories in powerful ways. We will train and resource them with the knowledge and equipment needed to record and share their stories — from cell phones, to tripods, to microphones — so the world can hear their voices.
True to our roots, this program and curriculum is adaptable based on the community's differing culture and context. Our two pilot locations are a great example of how this program can look different in every region.
