DocuClub LA: The Hosts

IDA Office, 3470 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 980, Los Angeles CA 90010

About the Screening

Please join us Thursday, December 13, for the last DocuClub LA screening of year, The Hosts. Following the screening, we will be joined by director/producer Carla Dauden for a moderated discussion.

The Hosts is a feature documentary about the unknown stories behind the curtains of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. It shows the perspective of five different Brazilians who were affected by the event in different ways - from a woman selling food by the stadiums to a man who was displaced by construction works. It's a social-political portrayal of Brazilians in this historical time - before, during and after the World Cup.

Doors open at 7:00 pm. Screening, followed by a moderated feedback discussion with the filmmakers - 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm. Drinks and snacks will be available for a modest suggested donation.

Space is very limited so please update your RSVP if you can't make it so we can have a real count of the attendees. Admission not guaranteed, all RSVP's are first-come, first served.
