New York Says Thank You

"New York Says Thank You" is a feature length documentary film following a foundation of New Yorkers and 9/11 survivors, who travel each year on the anniversary of 9/11 to help other disaster stricken communities. A father has helped a five-year-old New York City boy mold his idea into an organization that, from the San Diego wild fires to Hurricane Katrina, has mobilized to pay back the love other Americans brought to New York on the days, weeks and months following 9/11. The film follows a journey of healing and heroism of a playful African American firefighter from the Bronx, an Italian financial adviser and family man from Staten Island, the stern yet sensitive Construction Superintendent of Ground Zero, and a wide-eyed Irish Catholic firefighter whose first job as a fireman was 9/11. Capturing the essence of America, this film focuses on the foundation of our great nation- HEART.
