Map of the lower 48 states of the US projected on a wall with a chair in front of it. Each state of the map has a mugshot or face of a mass shooter.

About the Project

SPREE tells the profound stories of those affected by mass shootings, explores the societal failures that allow such tragedies to continue, and asks how we can change the course to a less violent world.

A true journey through hell to reach the light, the film explores the deep-rooted causes and effects of mass shootings, not only examining the individuals who commit these acts but also the larger cultural and psychological forces at play, such as media influence, toxic masculinity, and the role of isolation in a digital age.

With each mass shooting our collective trauma deepens. SPREE holds a mirror up to our society - challenging and empowering ourselves to be participants in creating a less violent future.
