About the Project

In this deeply personal and riveting documentary, filmmaker Tracey Arcabasso Smith confronts her childhood sexual abuse and unearths a dark history of multigenerational abuse in her seemingly-idyllic family. RELATIVE forces her to make an impossible decision: if she stays silent, the cycle continues, but if she speaks up she risks losing the family she loves.
