About the Project

“There is a saying, ’God willing,’ but on the island you say ‘Island willing,’ as if the island was an entity...We treat the island as a person.”

With 61 times more endemic plant species than the Galapagos, and an equally diverse human population, Chile's Robinson Crusoe Island might be the most unique place in the world. SI LA ISLA QUIERE ("Island Willing") follows the islanders' radical culture of environmental stewardship and shows us how we can step up to save our home.
