American Documentary Showcase Launches This Month

The American Documentary Showcase, a co-presentation of the IDA and the University Film and Video Association, kicks off this month. With the support and cooperation of the Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs of the US Department of State, the Showcase will tour up to 30 American documentaries and their filmmakers to countries around the world at international overseas venues, including US Embassy-organized events and/or US Embassy-supported international documentary film festivals.

The films include such award-winners as The Betrayal (Nerakhoon), Street Fight, FLOW: For Love Of Water, Made in LA, The Garden and The Order of Myths. Steven Starr, producer of FLOW, has been in Indonesia for the past couple of days as the representative of the Showcase.
