The colorful saga of a faded fight palace reveals the throbbing heart and multicultural soul of Los Angeles. Told through a diverse range of voices, including masked wrestlers, Chicano boxers and punk rockers--and centered around the remarkable woman who managed the mayhem for four decades--18th & Grand digs beneath the myths to uncover a city more interesting and complex than anything Hollywood could invent.
