About the Project

Analog Cowboys is a feature documentary that tells the story of the creation of the contemporary art scene in Southern California. The film will examine the personal history of these artists, tracing their creative influences and the adventures they had making a life in art. With new interviews and archival images, the film will create an intimate portrait of these trailblazers as they discuss their work and recount the wild frontier that was Venice, California.
