EAT, DRINK, LAUGH tells the story of legendary comedy club Comic Strip Live on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, a place rich with history -- and laughs -- that has put its own indelible imprint on comedy for a generation. It has defined the industry. It is the comedy club for comedians and has become synonymous with discovering and launching the careers of the best in the business. This is the story of a comedy club and the characters that filled it, because at a comedy club, everyone is a character, whether they're onstage or not. EAT, DRINK, LAUGH explores the struggles, triumphs and lighter moments of this New York icon, still in the same place for the last 35 years, and the incredible journey of the people that kept its doors open, the audiences that filled the seats and the comedians that graced the stage with their unique voices night after night since 1976. The film will mix never-before seen archival footage of stand-up routines, the Club's exclusive Christmas videos, original footage of Club Manager Lucien Hold and new interviews, conversations and scenes with comedians, as the Club celebrates its 35th anniversary.
