About the Project
As the shadow of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy still looms large, Stephan “Lilly” Steffanides (they/ them) rises from the depths of homelessness and addiction to emerge as a champion for justice. Now, as they battle stage 4 cancer, they lead a historic lawsuit against the Department of Defense to restore pride and honor for themselves and other LGTBQI+ veterans before they die.
