About the Project
Combining intimate verité scenes with the raw emotion of visual poetic fiction, QUEER CHRISTIANS follows three queer Christian women of color as they struggle to reconcile their intersecting identities and navigate the crosshairs of faith, race, and radically inclusive love. What happens when a queer person commits to lifelong celibacy to adhere to one's faith or when someone must choose between a partner and their church or work to strengthen severed family ties? Through these three stories, QUEER CHRISTIANS creates a powerful mosaic portrait of the joys and daunting sacrifices that come with belonging to multiple communities.
