About the Project

Spanning 8-years, this intimate documentary follows SARAH and her family of seven siblings in their rural Missouri home, bearing witness to their journey from adolescence to adulthood, in some cases to parenthood. Do cycles of poverty repeat, generation after generation - even when there is such strong hope for more? This film explores the reality of the challenges, choices, and opportunities of low-income Americans living in the Heartland.
